About the platform

Haraj Jazan is an online classifieds platform for the Jazan region. Individuals and businesses use it to offer items for sale or rent, advertise services and jobs, and contact each other.

The platform is a display intermediary only: it is not a party to any deal made between users, it does not own or sell the items shown, it does not receive their price, and it does not guarantee their delivery, quality or conformity with their description.

By using the platform — browsing, registering or posting — you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the platform.

Definitions

• Platform: the Haraj Jazan website and its mobile applications.
• User: anyone who uses the platform, whether a visitor or an account holder.
• Advertiser: a user who publishes a listing.
• Listing: anything an advertiser publishes to offer an item, a service or a job, including text, photos and prices.
• Promotion: a paid service that increases a listing's visibility — a bump, a featured badge or a home-page pin.

Account and registration

• Accounts are created with a Saudi mobile number, verified by a one-time code sent to it.
• Users must be at least 18 years old, or use the platform under a guardian's supervision.
• You are responsible for everything done from your account and for keeping your verification code secret. The Haraj Jazan team will never ask you for your code.
• You may not open several accounts to get around limits or sanctions, nor impersonate any person or organisation.
• You may delete your account at any time from "My account".

Posting listings

• A listing must be genuine, placed in the right section and governorate, and describe the item truthfully with real photos of it.
• The advertiser confirms that they own the item or are authorised to sell it, and that the stated price is real.
• Nothing listed on the "Prohibited items and listings" page may be advertised.
• Duplicate listings are not allowed, nor are phone numbers or external links inside the photos or the title.
• A listing stays live for thirty days and then expires; it can be renewed. Listings from new members may be reviewed before they appear.
• There is a daily limit on the number of listings each user can publish, to prevent flooding.
• The advertiser grants the platform a non-exclusive licence to display the listing's content, resize its photos and republish it within the platform and in promoting the platform, for as long as the listing stays up.

Comments and chat

• Public comments are for asking about a listing and negotiating on it. Insults, defamation, abuse, indecent content and advertising other items are not allowed.
• The platform may automatically hide a comment containing banned words; the moderation team then reviews it.
• In-app chat lets buyers and sellers talk without revealing their phone numbers. It may not be used to harass, defraud or send unsolicited advertising.
• An advertiser may hide or close the comments on their own listing, and any user may block someone who bothers them in chat.

Deals between users

• Deals are made directly between buyer and seller, outside the platform. They alone are responsible for completing the deal and for the price, payment, delivery, the item's safety and its compliance with the law.
• The platform holds no money on anyone's behalf, offers no guarantee or payment escrow, and bears no responsibility for any dispute or loss arising from a deal.
• We strongly advise inspecting an item before paying, never transferring any amount or deposit before inspection, and reading the "Safety tips for buying and selling" page.

Paid promotion and invoices

• Promotion is an optional advertising service that increases a listing's visibility: a "bump" moves it back to the top of its section immediately, "featured" highlights it with a badge within its section, and "pinned" shows it on the home page — each for the period stated at purchase.
• Prices are in Saudi riyals and include VAT. An electronic tax invoice is issued for every successful payment and kept in your account.
• A promotion is only activated once the payment gateway confirms the payment.
• Amounts are non-refundable once a promotion is activated, because the service is delivered the moment it is activated. This is stated clearly before you pay.
• A promotion does not guarantee a sale or any particular number of views.
• If a listing is suspended or removed for breaking these terms, no compensation is due for the remaining promotion period.

Moderation, reports and sanctions

• Any user can report a listing, comment, message or user that breaks the rules, and the moderation team reviews every report.
• Content that receives several reports may be hidden temporarily until it is reviewed.
• The platform may reject, suspend or remove any listing, and hide any comment, that breaks these terms or the law, and will tell its owner why.
• Confirmed violations are recorded on the account. An account is suspended automatically for thirty days after three violations, and may be closed permanently for serious violations such as fraud.
• If you believe a moderation decision was a mistake, contact us through "Support" in your account.

Limitation of liability

• The platform is provided "as is". We work to keep it available at all times but do not guarantee that it is free of interruptions or errors.
• Published content is the sole responsibility of whoever published it; the platform does not verify every listing in advance.
• To the extent permitted by law, the platform is not liable for any direct or indirect damage arising from its use or from dealings between users.

Intellectual property

The Haraj Jazan name, logo, design and software belong to the platform's operator and may not be copied or used without written permission.

Advertisers keep their rights in the photos and text of their listings. Copying and republishing other people's photos or listings without their permission is not allowed.

Personal data

We process your data in line with our Privacy Policy and the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law. Your phone number is never shown to a visitor who is not signed in, and never appears on your public profile.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when needed; the date of the last update appears at the top of this page. We will notify users within the platform of any material change, and continuing to use the platform afterwards means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the competent courts of the Kingdom have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
